[Rumor] Final Fantasy IX Remake could be real

Square-Enix is on fire producing great Final Fantasy games with the imminent release of Final Fantasy XVI and the future Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, a title which development is going “smooth”, but of course, the Japanese have more plans for the IP.

According to Jeff Grubb and another source, the same that leaked the remake of Persona 3, Square is working on the remake of Final Fantasy IX that could be marketed by Sony. Moreover, the game could not be released on Switch. The title is at least 2 years away to be completed.
