Take-Two is poised for a blockbuster end of year with major releases like Borderlands 4, GTA VI—hopefully—and Mafia: The Old Country. While the game hasn’t been officially dated yet, a Steam event page for Latin America briefly listed its release date as August 8, 2025.
Although the information was quickly removed, someone managed to grab a screenshot before it was taken down:
According to a Spanish Steam post on the official Game Hub, Mafia: The Old Country is set for release on August 8th. pic.twitter.com/WPdW1cWGsO

It’s expected that the official release date will be announced during PAX East 2025 on May 8, where Hangar 13 is scheduled to present the game. While not confirmed by the publisher, the leak seems credible. During the event, we’re also expecting details on the game’s various editions—and hopefully, a generous look at the gameplay.
Thanks, Gematsu.
