Microsoft and Phil Spencer fired the starting gun at E3 2018. The company confirmed they are designing new Xbox hardware. The machinery has been set in motion.
Brad Sams at Thurrott.com claims that the next-gen Xbox will arrive in 2020. The codename for the next Xbox hardware is Scarlett, but it could actually be referring to a family of devices. In fact, at E3 2018 conference, Philip Spencer talked about Xbox “consoles”, and not a single console.
It’s more than possible that Microsoft could be considering a streaming device, since this kind of service seems to be one of the cornerstones of its short-term policy.
Stay tuned.
