It had been rumored for a while that Sony might tweak its PC strategy, and according to Bloomberg, the company is now preparing a major shift that could leave PC players without access to many of its titles.
Bloomberg reports — citing sources familiar with Sony’s plans — that the Japanese company will no longer release single-player titles on PC. Online-focused games such as Marathon or Marvel Tokon are still expected to launch on the platform.
This would mean that projects like Saros or Ghost of Yotei, which were already planned for PC, may now remain console-only.
It’s a different story for titles published by Sony but developed externally. Games like Death Stranding 2 or Kena: Scars of Kosmora would still make their way to PC.
Sony’s push into PC started back in 2020 with Horizon Zero Dawn, but six years later, it looks like the strategy could be shifting abruptly back toward a more traditional approach.
