Just two days ago, during the Take Two investors call that took place following the release of the company’s financials, Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that Rockstar will be releasing a game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in this fiscal year ending March 31st, 2015.
Rockstar Games is hard at work on the upcoming lineup, and we are excited about what they have in store for the new generation of systems for this fiscal year.
Take Two president Karl Slatoff added:
We will have more to share about our unannounced fiscal 2015 releases in the coming months.
Now we only have to guess which is that game they are talking about.
Many people would be happy if they were actually talking about a version of GTA V for PS4 and Xbox One. If you remember, references to PC and PlayStation 4 versions were found in the source code of the game. Even Sony UK ‘accidentally’ hinted a PS4 version of GTA V… so it is not unreasonable to value that possibility.
On the other hand, distinct rumors state that Rockstar is currently working on ‘next version of a famous IP‘. Red Dead? Bully? Agent?
Stay tuned.
By the way, it’s worth noting that, usually, Rockstar does not have a presence at E3.
