Megaton! According to Kotaku, Horizon: Zero Dawn will be released for PC in 2020.
The game, developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Guerrilla Games and released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in February 2017, would be available on Steam and Epic Games Store. This would be the first AAA game coming from any Sony first-party studio that would be released for PC.
We’ve been hearing rumors about this for a while now, but Kotaku seems a pretty reliable source and we must keep a really big eye on this.
It should be noted that both Horizon: Zero Dawn and Death Stranding run on the famous Guerrilla Games-developed “Decima engine“. Many are speculating that this move could be a trial balloon from Sony, who would like to see how a relevant game, running on the Decima Engine, works on PC in terms of sales.
Furthermore, more sources like Jason Schreier and Tom Phillips state that Horizon: Zero Dawn would not be the only AAA game from Sony coming to PC. In fact, Phillips is teasing that Dreams, the Media Molecule developed game, would also arrive to this platform.
I don’t think it’ll be the only one!

Horizon will be followed by others down the road – you don’t need to Dream too hard to guess. But Xbox is already well-established launching games on PC at the same time, and eager to explore Switch…

Stay tuned.
